Vacherin Mont d'Or is a seasonal soft cow's milk cheese from the Jura region of eastern France. It is deliciously rich and creamy in flavour.

One great way to serve it is warmed in the oven as follows:

Remove the plastic outer wrapping. Wrap the box in foil, prick the surface of the cheese and insert one or two cloves of garlic in the top then pour a small glass of white wine over the top. Bake for about 25 minutes at around 180 degrees Celsius.

Pop in the centre of the table and let everyone tuck in! Serve it with bread and salad for lunch or with potatoes for something more substantial.
