Tomme de Savoie, like most Tommes, is made from the skim milk left over after the cream is used to make butter or richer cheeses. As a result, the cheese has a relatively low fat content (typically between 20 and 45% although this one is 48%). This one is semi hard in texture and quite mild in taste, perfect for lunch or for those who like a milder cheese.
