The french have been making artisanal cheeses now for centuries and much of the knowledge used has been passed from many generations down. Most french cheeses are specific to their geographical location and reflect the culture and flavour of that area. Many of their cheeses carry the AOC or Appleation d'Origine Controlee which gaurantees the authenticity of their production method and location. Roquefort was the first cheese to be given this gaurantee and now 40 other cheeses are labelled such.

We have a fantastic range of artisanal French cheeses direct from the Paris market. We have new cheeses arriving all the time and will update the website regularly.
